李桂源

      李桂源,男,医学博士、教授,博士生导师。现任中南大学疾病基因组研究中心主任,癌变与侵袭原理国家创新引智基地负责人,癌变原理卫生部重点实验室主任,癌变与侵袭原理教育部重点实验室学术委员会副主任,湖南省健康服务业协会理事长, 湖南省医学会副会长。中南大学肿瘤研究所前任所长。医学遗传学国家重点实验室第五、六届学术委员会副主任。

      自1978年以来,李桂源教授在鼻咽癌病因学、鼻咽癌遗传不稳定性和易感性机制、鼻咽癌多阶段发病过程转录调控规律、鼻咽癌基因网络调控理论体系探索和筛选与开发鼻咽癌分子靶点等领域开展了极富创造性工作。作为首席科学家组织和领导了国家重大科学研究计划“多基因遗传性肿瘤多阶段发病过程转录组学规律及其分子机制研究”;建立了“癌变与侵袭原理”国家创新引智基地;建立了生物样本采集规范和关键的技术体系,构建了具有3万例生物样本的数据库;建立了鼻咽癌、乳腺癌、结直肠癌、脑瘤的基因和蛋白差异表达谱,识别出一批具有重要生物学功能和潜在临床意义的分子标志物;绘制了抑瘤/易感基因作用的信号转导通路网络,提出了“鼻咽癌、乳腺癌、结直肠癌、脑瘤是信号转导和网络调控障碍性疾病”的思想和鼻咽癌易感基因群主导的“多阶段性顺序性互动效应”理论,丰富了鼻咽癌癌变机制理论体系。

      李桂源教授先后承担国家重大科学研究计划、国家“973”、“863”、国家自然科学基金重点项目等课题30余项;发表学术论文300余篇,SCI收录150余篇,EI收录12篇,所获成果被NatureGenet、Cancer Cell、Nature cellbiology、Mol cell等国际权威期刊引证,他引2000余次;申报国家发明专利20项,12项已获授权;主编国家医学专业规划性教材与专著5部;获国家和省部级科技与教学成果奖20项。

      李桂源教授具有强烈的敬业奉献精神,是一位在科研、教学和管理上有突出贡献的专家,也是一位治学严谨、为人正直、甘为人梯的学者和教书育人的楷模,在学科建设、实验室建设和人才培养等方面做出了重要贡献。

      李桂源教授先后培养博士后12人、毕业博士生65人,硕士生65人,其中1人获全国优秀博士学位文奖,3人获全国优秀博士学位论文提名奖,11人获湖南省优秀博士学位论文奖,4人入选教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”,3人获湖南省杰出青年基金资助,3人获湖南省青年科技奖,培育的团队入选湖南省创新群体。2013年,李桂源教授被海选为中南大学研究生最喜爱的导师。
